Born in Belgium in 1980, Gabrielle grew up in a musical environment, her Mother being a piano teacher. From the age of 16, Gabrielle studied classical and popular music singing for 6 years with private teachers as Mariluce Dias and Pascal Noel. In 2003, Gabrielle joined the 10 finalists of the “Pop Idol France” television programme and went on to shoot a video, recorded a single and an album with BMG France that became double gold. During that time she sang on stage in front of an audience of 50,000. After that, she finished her master’s degree in Economics at the University of Liege in Belgium. Gabrielle is also a songwriter and she has been selected by the Cultural Department of Belgium for a composition project which led to appearances on several recordings. In 2005, she worked for Lara Fabian’s international tour. In addition to this, she joined a vocal jazz trio and sang backing vocals in many bands (No Limit, Jean-Louis Daulne, Morgane...). Gabrielle is located in London and sings in a variety of styles including jazz, pop, soul, latin, funk and French songs. She is a member of various duos, trios, quartets, vocal jazz trio and the John Ongom Big Band, and also works as a singer in bars, clubs and for private/corporate functions. |
