Thank you very much for supplying the Karaoke/Bandoke band, they
first performed and got everyone on their feet dancing, we then
had our staff sing hits from the 80s right up to some recent
hits. Finally our CEO and Directors sang Dancing Queen with the
whole party in vocal unison, it was magical. The band amazingly
made everyone sound great and the lead vocalist was so patient
on each song guiding those unsure along. Our staff can't wait to
do it again. We will definitely come back to you for our
Christmas Entertainment in 2009

Saturday's Ball at the Palace Hotel Torquay I just wanted to let

Dear Marcus,
I would like to take this opportunity to thank you and the Motor
City band personally for playing at our Wedding on the 11th
October 2008.
As a music lover I had previously had nightmares about the
quality of wedding entertainment on offer at weddings,
especially after attending various others which I felt had been
let down by a cheesy disco at the end, playing the usual dire
mixture of songs from nasty wedding compilation albums, all I
can say is they should have booked the Motor City Party Band
because you were fantastic.
The first dance of "Something" by George Harrison, although not
Motown, was covered with such finesse even my seriously
fanatical Beatles fan friend was deeply impressed. Great vocals
and a spot on guitar solo were the comments.You judged the mood
perfectly throughout the evening, managing to get almost every
single guest on the dance floor at some point. I think it speaks
volumes for this to range from my 10 year old cousin to my 85
year old grandmother.
Everyone was commenting on how wonderful the band was, some
people said you were the best band they had ever seen! others
said how they would like to book you themselves in the future,
so expect some more contacts for sure.
Finally I would like to say a special thanks for traveling to
play for us, we look forward to booking you again in London
either personally or as a recommendation at work.

Dear Marcus Malone and Motor City Party Band,
We are so sorry it has taken us so long to write to you to say
thank you very much for the amazing music you provided at our
wedding reception on 24 August 2008. I started my new job as a
teacher as soon as we got back from our honeymoon and since then
it has been non stop work in the evenings and most weekends. We
also moved fairly soon after the wedding and, although this was
only to the flat next door, the move was quite stressful and
took up a lot of our spare time.
We had a fabulous time at our reception and we really had a
fantastic time on the dance floor, as did many of our guest. The
music we had at our wedding was very important to us and our
parents, in order that the right atmosphere was created, and we
couldn't have imagined the music and dancing to go any better.
As soon as the the music stated the dance floor quickly filled
up and it remained full all night. We really do feel that you
are a truly brilliant band and so many of our friends and family
have commented on how amazing you were.
Many, many thanks again and we wish you all well and hope you
are all having a happy and successful New Year.

Dear Tom,
We would like to thank you and all "The Lost Boys" for providing

Tropicana blew our
minds at our wedding. Super professional from the first moment
we made contact and a seriously slick operation on the night.
The entire room was whooping with delight when the girls came
down the stairs in their feathers and the energy the band
created was incredible. They really set the party alight; the
atmosphere was electric and our guests just couldn't get enough
of them. This is an extremely talented band; if you want your
party to go off with a bang, book them now, you will not be

Sorry this has been a while in coming forward, we have just
returned from a fantastic honeymoon in Fiji and California (and
now feel very cold indeed having been in 90+ degrees for the
last three weeks!!)
We had a great day on the wedding and I wanted to write to thank
you for your utmost professionalism and dedication the job in
hand -which was making our wedding evening a great night for
everyone, and getting people who I've never seen move out of
their chairs at weddings previously, up on that dancefloor
shakin their thang!! You were all we had hoped for and more and

commented on what a great band you are and how much fun you gave
to the party. I was only too sorry that I didn't get to spend
more time on the dancefloor (although that might have been in
everyone's best interests given my general lack of

flexible regarding the timings etc - my father and I had
previously had a few heated debates about the fireworks as he

Now that my wedding has been and
gone, I'd like to thank you for helping me book Cy Winstanley. He was absolutely
fantastic and a consumate professional.
Not only did he learn a special song that I happened to mention in casual
conversation (an obscure Maori love song), but he played all night long, which
was absolutely awesome.
Apart from leaving my guests truly gobsmacked by his excellent vocals and expert
guitar playing, by the end of the night it felt like saying goodbye to a friend;
someone who'd gone out of his way to make our night a success.
In a nut shell, he turned perhaps your average wedding (with a cheesy dj, cake
and champagne) into the best night of my life - leaving my new wife and I with
many special memories, which will always stay with us. (Many of my friends and
family were equally moved by his music.)
Perhaps the best thing about Cy, as well, is his easy going, modest and warm
personality, which shines through his music. At times I felt privileged to be
listening to what is undoubtedly an outstanding talent... I wish him every
future
success; he deserves it.
I want to thank you as well for making the booking so easy and
transparent. I'll certainly use MFL again in the future, and feel free to
contact me if you need any client references etc - I'll happily offer my
support.

Hi Marcus
Just back from honeymoon this week. We wanted to write straightaway to thank you
for such a fantastic performance at our wedding on 3 February. I know we sent a
text from the airport (we couldn't wait to thank you! although, our phones then
didn't work abroad) but we really wanted to expand on that and to show our
appreciation in full.
As you probably gathered, Paul and I quite like to dance! But what thrilled us
most, was that our guests didn't leave the dance floor all night! We've been to
lots of weddings with live bands in the past, and although they are always the
best kind of music, often the dancefloor is sadly empty! But Motor City have
that special something. As soon as people walked into the room – young and old –
they couldn't stop dancing!!
I remember going out of the room briefly and hearing you ask 'is everyone having
a good time?!' and hearing a huge roar. As a bride, that is just the best
feeling in the world!
Our only regret was that we ran over on our meal, giving less time for the party
– we wished we could have danced all night!
We've had so many compliments I can't tell you. You were definitely the life and
soul of the party, but guests have also remarked how amazing it was that every
single band member was incredibly talented. It's very unusual to want to watch
everybody at once!!
You
have such an amazing voice and an incredible stage presence. We were so lucky to
have you there to make our party go with a bang.

Now we are back from our honeymoon (boo hiss!), we wanted to drop you a note.
We wanted, firstly to say thank you. I realise that I (Angela) must have said
that to you at least a dozen times on the day, but we were really over the moon
with your performance on the night. Your total professionalism and talent as a
band really shone through. As for our first dance music, how you managed to
learn that in such a short space of time and perform it so perfectly - we were
amazed! Also, we are so grateful to you for being so flexible with our family -
we realise at times it can't have been easy with them suddenly appearing on
stage, but you were so welcoming it was a joy to be part of the audience.

helpful when things went wrong and in sound-checking my best
man and myself.

I would just like to
thank you for arranging a workshop with the fabulous group
‘Ilusion Flameno’. Angela and Fernando came on Thursday to
deliver a two hour workshop which was a basic introduction
to clapping, stamping and choreography. The workshop was
challenging, informative and very well taught. Angela built
up a really good relationship with the students and the work
they produced was amazing, performing a whole dance and song
at the end of the two hours. The workshop then ended with a
performance from the musicians. I would definitely ask them
to come back again!

Just a quick note to let you know that everything went
extremely well at the Child Line Ball on Tuesday night.
Caribbe were just perfect at the drinks reception as
were the Bayswater Blasters for the dinner. Happily the
guests took ages to walk in / get seated so they were
treated to lots of carols from the girls, and we still
managed to get them away by 8.30 which was good.
So thank you for all your help. You will be pleased to
hear that there were about 200 CEO's & senior heads of

enhanced a time we shall never forget but reflected in our
opinion the great style and uniqueness that was Frank.
In a sentence, I want this man at our birthdays, weddings,
christenings, Christmas…….. I think you get the picture
It only leaves me to thank Frank for being with us. Thank

The event was a
huge success, and the entertainment really topped it off! It
was great location, apart from being a little cramped, but being
on a grass patch provided quite a fesitval atmosphere. Juan Two
really got the crowd going and I remember one time turning
around and watching them dancing and rattling the bucket and
everyone singing along so it was fab. And the Steel Band were
brilliant, shaded by some trees and everyone was chilling out on
the grass absorbing the sounds. Excellent choice - thank you so

We just
wanted to write to thank John and his fellow musicians for
a brilliant morning at school this morning. The teachers
didn’t walk around the corridors this morning, they danced.
The children and staff loved listening to the steel pans
and we were very impressed with the way John and the others
played for 3 hours without a break. We have ordered
some steel pans that John is going to make for us, so we
will be looking forward to taking delivery of those in September.
I haven’t got much work done this morning because I was

of Holby City - BBC Television and decided to search for the band
I wanted through the 'Music for London' website. I came across
Tomasso Starace and his band and thought that they would be

We
had a great evening and Rockafella was really great. Caz and
Brendon were fantastically good and the music they played
was just what everybody liked.
Most
of us were dancing after the food, even some who I have never
seen on the floor before. If I had to organise another
evening's music, I would rebook Rockafella without hesitation,

Band were terrific - everybody at our Caribbean themed party

for the e-mail. Sorry not to have replied sooner, things are
just about back to normal. We had an absolutely fantastic
day, which David contributed to hugely. The venue, the music
and the delivery came together perfectly - it couldn't have
been better.
If we
had a £1 for every comment we've had with regards to the music
and David's performance we'd be a very rich newly married
couple. Everyone has just raved about it (and continue to
do so). Even the workers at the hotel!
