With
multi-faceted vocals glittering between an array of complementary
instruments, Celtish have continued to appeal to wide ranging audiences
across the UK and Europe. Chosen from thousands to represent the talent
and beauty of folk music as part of the ‘COPAS’ live event at the Royal
Albert Hall, playing at numerous festivals, art centres and theatres, a
tour of Holland with Lunasa and even Ronan Keating at a packed out NEC!
Celtish have continued to deliver an explosive mixture of celtic music,
intermixing jigs, reels and tunes whilst spiced with an emotive and
hauntingly beautiful vocal.
This
dynamic band of individuals will not fail to deliver, wherever your
tastes may lie. Such are their talents, that one is enthralled with the
rich blend of emotive songs, and enigmatic tunes. Here is a group of
passionate artists who clearly cherish their music, use their
instruments to their fullest potential, and generously ‘give’ of
themselves and their talents to their audience.
Whilst
Gwyneth Keen’s hauntingly emotive vocals enthral the listener and the
fiddle is passionately played by the hugely talented Siân Phillips, the
beautiful playing of John Harris on Harp and Mandolin and the critically
acclaimed playing of Gordon Taylor on guitar and Mandola underpin and
bind it all together. Add then the extraordinary talents of one of the
finest young flute players to emerge, Imogen O’Rourke, and you have a
pan-Celtic band that will satiate a variety of appetites. |
