Performing:

My initial gigs were with Jim Mullen (guitar) Dick Morrissey (sax) and Mike Carr (organ).  A performance at Ronnie Scott’s was something of a debut.  I continued to learn about jazz singing, working with Kenny Wheeler’s Big Band, the Radio Two Orchestra and the Len Phillips Big Band interspersed with various commercial sessions including an appearance on BBC TV's Eastenders, on Wogan and Top of the Pops as backing singer for Paul Young.  1995 saw me on CD and touring with Jan Ponsford’s Vocal Chords (which included Norma Winstone) and recording an album with Duncan Lamont for Solo Records.  In ’96 I produced my own album of originals and covers ‘You Can’t Keep A Good Man Down’ and in ’99 was featured vocalist on an album by Chris Lee ‘Alternative Arrangements’. Currently singing with The Len Phillips Big Band, the Back To Basie Big Band and shortly, Pete Long's Dizzy Gillespie Big Band.
