Tomasso Starace was born in Milan in 1975 and has been playing alto saxophone since the age of 18. He achieved a Bmus First Class Honours Degree at the Birmingham Conservatoire. He leads his own jazz duo, jazz trio and jazz quartet and quintet with lovely vocalist and pianist Eriko Ishihara. Tomasso is an established saxophonist with his on style in London who gigs in most established jazz venues and has a brilliant album to his credit. His brand of exciting and mellow melody driven jazz will satisfy all ages for cocktail evenings or dinner parties. |

He completed the Postgraduate Jazz course at the Guildhall School of Music and Drama, London. He performed in small combos and big bands with Billy Cobham, David Liebman, Kenny Wheeler and Norma Winstone. He also took part in several master classes some of which with renown jazz musicians such as saxophonist Tim Garland and bass virtuoso John Patitucci. |

Across the years, since successfully completing his Postgraduate course, Tomasso Starace has gained a considerable reputation in the UK jazz scene appearing at many jazz clubs and Festivals in the country as a sideman and leader. He has performed in many venues in London and across the UK including The Vortex Jazz Club, The 100 Club, Pizza on the Park, Royal Festival Hall Foyer, Boxford Fleece Jazz Club, Pizza Express Jazz Club Dean Street, Bonnington Arnold Theatre, St Ives Jazz Club, The Drill Hall Lincoln, National Theatre, Royal Albert Hall, Cinnamon Jazz Club Manchester, Swanage Jazz festival, Open air concert at Trafalgar Square as part of London jazz festival, and many other venues. Currently he has finished touring with his quartet around Britain completing a second successful UK tour. Across the years he has performed with some of the most respected UK jazz musicians including Roger Beaujolais, Liam Noble, Jonathan Gee, Jim Mullen, Phil Lee and many others. |

Tomasso has recorded two albums in the UK and his second one 'Tomasso Starace plays the Photos Of Elliott Erwitt' gave him favorable reviews and established him as one of UK's top saxophone players. In the past year he has been travelling between the UK and Italy where he has formed a new quartet with whom he has just recorded his third CD, promoting it through concerts all over him home country.
