Kiran Thakrar an Indian composer, producer and Keyboard player based in London has been working, living and breathing music over 25 years. He has got his own recording studio name Globalrootz.

His music has been heard on major TV channels worldwide like BBC, Sky, ITV and many other for which he produced specially commissioned 'production music' album by Universal Production Music (formerly BMG Zomba) Programmes include 'The Real Shilpa Shetty', 'Desi DNA', 'India Schools' and many more.

His latest collaboration and music arrangement in album name ‘Beyond Boundaries’ has been awarded by Canada’s highest JUNO awards (known as Canadian Grammy). Kiran has just finished composing for forthcoming single name 'Baby' which features Anu Shukla (Kiran's partner) and American RnB star Ginuwine.

He has performed in more than 4000 concerts worldwide and has worked with some of the most respected names in the industry like Late Ustad Nusrahat Fateh Ali Khan, Zakir Hussein, Sivamani, Ginuwine, James Asher, Bill Bailey, Hariharan, Richa Sharma, Hans Raj Hans, Sadhna Sargam Bollywood music directors Nadeem Shravan, Ravindra Jain, and many more. Currently Kiran is busy in producing background music score for short movie and other private albums.

A strong interest in the musical technology led Kiran to explore the worlds of computers, programming and found this a great opportunity to pioneer fusions of Eastern and Western musical styles and this encouraged Kiran to further explore the creative fusing of modern technological processes, and the blending of broad global elements to evolve truly new musical genres. Kiran much enjoys the possibilities of creative manipulation offered by hard-disk recording in his studio.

Highlights, Achievements and awards

Composed and performed with legendary Bill Bailey at Wembly Arena
Kiran and his 11 peice band Bollywood Pandits performed with famous Comedian Bill Bailey at Wembly arena London. It was a fusion project with Bill Bailey in which Kiran composed and arranged Indian music with Rock band Radiohead's popular song name Creep. In a short time, the DVD for this concert will be coming out.

Composing for forthcoming single name 'Baby'
Kiran has just finished composing for forthcoming single name 'Baby' which features Anu Shukla (Kiran's partner) and American RnB star Ginuwine.

Best Production and Creativity Award
In 2005 Kiran composed, arranged and produced album name A voyage of peace and Joy, from this album one song has won second prize in international song contest by Tascam for best production and creativity.

In 2004, Kiran co-composed and performed in Canadian Album name "Beyond Boundaries" and it is been awarded as 'best world music album of the 2004' by Canada's highest JUNO Awards (Canadian Grammy)

Kiran has received an Award For Best Selling Album of 2001 from his record Company for album "Love 2 Love 2001", which is a remix album.

In 2001, Kiran co-composed and performed in one Canadian Album name Kashish and it is been nominated in Canada's highest JUNO Awards (Known as Canadian Grammy).
